About Me

Hello dear reader,

My education stems from a B.A. in Art History (U.C. Santa Cruz 92’). For fifteen years,   I was professionally devoted to creating healing environments for hospice, palliative care centers and hospitals from 1994-2010. Healing Environments was a profound time in my life that produced both a library of literary resources and over 80 rooms devoted to patients and their families.

Opening my shop Poetica (2011-2019) was a unique experience to combine my love of community, design, art and history to engage the public with a public art and retail space. My hope was that the passerby might stop and look in --- the inquisitive couldn’t resist and indulge themselves acquiring a piece from my collection to add meaning to their home.

I closed my shop in May 2019 and left the San Francisco Bay Area 2021. I moved to Franklin, TN to be near my aging parents and family. Now I operate Poetica Home thru my website. I’m a phone call or email away if you need assistance  or have a question.

Purchases on my store website may be subject to providing proof of identity and payment method to assure safe transactions.

Sincerely,

Traci Teraoka POETICA HOME
